The OSX Quicktime / iTunes Plugin is two plugin's in one.

How do you swap foot pedal control between Quicktime & iTunes?

Control is changed in the Vpedal Preference panel using the
" VPedal controls: " drop down box

OSX Quicktime Features:

When enabled you can control the playback of video's , music cd's, mp3's Streaming media etc..in fact any media that is supported by Quicktime with your foot.

The Vpedal Preferences can be access by clicking on the docked Vpedal icon. The QuickTime Player panel allows you to change the Pause Back Time ( i.e. the amount of time that the plugin automatically rewinds when you lift your foot off the pedal )

You can also effect the speed of both the fast forward & rewind

Plus the new feature of Varispeed - great for Transcription

OSX iTunes Features:

When enabled you can control the playback of voice recordings made with your iPod ( ) music cd's, mp3's ..in fact any media that is supported by iTunes with your foot.

The Vpedal Preferences can be access by clicking on the docked Vpedal icon.

The Vpedal iTunes preference panel allows you to change the Pause Back Time. ( i.e. the amount of time that the plugin automatically rewinds when you lift your foot off the pedal )

The Fast Forward & Rewind speed adjustments are disabled in the Vpedal iTunes preference panel ( they are hard programmed in iTunes to move in 5 second increments.)

Installation:

Double click to mount the " Vpedal_MacOSX_07.dmg " inside the disk image ( dmg ) there is a file " install.command " double click on the script, it will install the plugin

Setup Tips:

If you can't seem to get the plugin to operate, click on the vpedal icon, when quicktime is open. If you don't like doing that, you can use the instructions below to have the plug - in running in the back ground.

 

Select menu item: Apple Menu > System Preferences.

Click on the Show All icon to ensure all preferences are visible.


Personal > Single click on the Login Items icon.

Select the Login Items tab.

 


Hit the Add button.

Select your preferred item and hit the Open button.

Quit the System Preferences application by selecting menu item: System Prefs > Quit System Prefs.

Restart your Mac.

Instructions:


Double click the" VpedalPlayer.app.zip" the programme will auto extract to where ever the zip file was located.

To start playback you can drag & drop a file onto the Vpedal Icon, if the programme is already open you can drag & drop the file into the dock or you can use the file open option.
